Owner in Training

The idea of Racing Connections' was created to provide people interested in racehorse ownership with the unbiased information they need to understand what’s involved and work out the type of ownership (if any) they might be best suited to.

Racing Connections vision for this custom website build and interactive quiz was to engage and educate their audience while further understanding their perceptions through value exchange. They also wanted to integrate smart automated data systems into the process for ease of management into the future.

Challenge

While the target audience was wide-ranging in terms of age, we knew the best way to deliver engaging content to them was to keep it light, fun and consumable. Part of the project required capturing data, so we also knew that for users to feel safe sharing their information with Racing Connections, they would need something valuable in exchange.

Insight

Racing Connections' insights from research and survey results showed that their audience perceived the process of purchasing a horse to be difficult and they didn’t know where to start.

Execution

We used the idea of ‘Owner in Training’ to bring the site to life. Users were directed to a short interactive quiz that provided them with case studies and questions to help educate them at a high level which then resulted in a recommended ownership type based on their answers. For more in-depth information and resources on key topics, users could then navigate their way through the main Racing Connections website.
